Forever Light Ultra Protein Donuts

People often think of doughnuts as high sugar, naughty snacks, but with a few tweaks and some Forever products they can make the perfect guilt-free goodies!

To make these delicious doughnuts, you’ll need:

1 cup of almond flour
½ cup of oat flour
½ cup of Forever Lite Ultra vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
3 tablespoons of Forever Bee Honey
4 tablespoons melted coconut oil, melted
½ cup almond milk

And for a topping, you’ll need 4 tablespoons of smooth peanut butterAnd a few chocolate chipsIt’s also best to use a donut pan to get the right shape for your donuts.

Be sure to preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Then, in a bowl, whisk together almond flour, oat flour, Forever Lite Ultra, baking soda and baking powder.

Stir in the eggs, Forever Bee Honey, coconut oil and almond milk. The mixture should be thick, but if it is a little lumpy you can add a splash more milk or water to loosen it up a bit. Spay your donut pan with cooking spray. Pour your batter into your donut pan. Then simply pop it into the oven for 10-15 minutes until the donuts are a lovely golden brown colour, like this! Once you’ve allowed the donuts too cool, you can spread them with peanut butter to add extra flavour and some healthy fats.

And there we go, our delicious, guilt-free protein donuts!

Shake of the Month: Beets and Berries

Our shake of the month recipe is called ‘Beets and Berries’, and is the perfect breakfast or on-the-go snack for an active person. The smoothie contains a sachet of ARGI+ which contains five grams of L-Arginine per serving, plus vitamins, making this the perfect sports drink!

To make this shake, all you need is:

1 medium beetroot, peeled and cubed
288g frozen strawberries
3 pitted Medjool dates
175g apple slices
1 sachet ARGI+
200ml almond milk

All you need to do is pop the ingredients into a blender and blend until you reach the desired consistency. Remember that beetroot can stain surfaces and clothes, so be careful when you’re peeling and cutting it up! This is an ideal drink to take with you as you exercise, so you could pour it into your Forever FIT shake bottle to carry it around with you. Or you can take it easy at home by pouring it into a glass, garnishing with a strawberry and serving with a straw.
